I then have to right click this email and mark is as unread as the one it selects generally isn't the one I intend to respond to. When I click from one inbox to another, some of the time a random email will be selected and marked as read. Other times, when I'm responding to an email, the email will suddenly disappear, but it will be marked as read, so I'll have to search through all of my emails to find the correct one again. For example, emails I click on randomly go back to unread automatically, meaning I have to click on them several times to mark them as read again. There are constant glitches that seriously affect workflow. Thunderbird, from my experience, is incredibly slow and buggy. There are a lot of options to sort emails in different folders and the client is highly customizable. There are a lot of add-ons (although the ones I have - Conversations and Quick Text - do not function smoothly). I will continue to give Thunderbird a chance as I need a client that is compatible with Protonmail Bridge, but I will likely jump ship back to Protonmail in the near future. I would have expected to sacrifice aesthetics for usability, but it turns out with Thunderbird you sacrifice both aesthetics, simplicity AND usability/workflow. Which wouldn't necessarily be a problem if the interface wasn't so messy and cluttered. We all find Thunderbird incredibly clunky and unwieldy. Overall my experience has been pretty awful.

Apparently, Microsoft Teams doesn't send properly-formatted messages, so this is most often broken, but you can always work around it through manual data entry. Sometimes it captures an Event from an EMail with an ICS attachment - and sometimes it doesn't. Another issue I have is with the built-in calendar. Luckily, these occur only about every 2 years or so. These "improvements" may be beneficial to most users, but moving things around in the UI can slow you down, and the changes can sometimes break automation scripts that rely on specific sequences of keystrokes.
